Hazell Booker


Hazell Booker brings over 25 years of experience in marketing, business development, and strategic planning in both international and domestic markets. She recently returned to Canada after working in Washington, DC as the Director of Industry Liaison, National Guard Association of the United States, where she served as the liaison with defense contractors and provided valuable guidance on how to do business with the National Guard. Hazell was one of the original members of the Corporate Advisory Panel and has contributed in fundraising for the National Guard Educational Foundation and the National Guard Youth Challenge.


After returning to Canada, Hazell was the Director, Business Development at Armatec Survivability in London, Ontario. Her primary responsibility was to broaden the market of Armatec's unique composite armor for armored vehicles. Previous assignments include Director, Business Development for Simtran Technologies in Montreal where she was responsible for developing new business opportunities and was successful in landing a contract worth $3.5 million to provide software for an embedded training system in the Stryker armored vehicle.


Ms. Booker spent over 18 years with General Motors Defense and was responsible for the advertising, marketing and exhibits for the light armored vehicle (LAV) and RG-31 marketing to the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Thailand. GM was the first to bring the RG-31 to North America..


Ms. Booker graduated from Fanshawe College, Ontario, Canada with a marketing diploma and holds a business certificate from the Royal Society of Arts, London, England. She is an associate member of the National Guard Association of the U.S..


As a civilian, Ms. Booker received a Distinguished Service Award from the U.S. Capital Marines, and Distinguished Service Award from the Pennsylvania National Guard Association.
