Strategic Advisor

Mike Chase


Mike Chase is a strategic advisor to Command Strategies and focuses on business development activities at TRADOC and CASCOM. He also provides advice on federal government and legislative affairs, lobbying and strategic planning.


Mike is a retired Army Colonel and served in a variety of infantry command and staff positions in Vietnam, Germany, Korea and the Pentagon. He has extensive experience in infantry airborne operations, command and control, theater level wartime and contingency operations and strategic intelligence. He closed out his military career as Chief of the Army's Legislative Liaison Office to the U.S. House of Representatives.


Upon retirement from the Army, Mike served as a legislative and program consultant to a number of major defense contractors and provided legislative and program advice on various Army aviation, combat, and wheeled programs. He was specifically involved in the Apache Attack Helicopter and Abrams tank and armored personnel carrier programs; Family of Medium Tactical Vehicle program and various battery and corrosion prevention and control efforts.


Mike has over 26 years of experience working directly with the members and staff of the U.S. Congress on a myriad of research development and acquisition programs. He has an in-depth knowledge of both defense acquisition and the legislative process.


Originally from Springfield, Missouri, Mike is a graduate of Missouri State University where he received his B.A. in Education and History in 1963. He received an M.A. in History from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and is a graduate of the Army Command and General Staff College and the U.S. Army War College.
