Mr. Demetriades was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Upon completing his undergraduate work in Political Science at Wake Forest University, he was commissioned as a Military Intelligence Officer in the United States Army. He served as a Platoon Leader and company Executive Officer with 102 Military Intelligence Battalion, Second Infantry Division, Republic of Korea. Upon returning to the United States, he served in support of the National Security Agency as the Adjutant of the 741st Military Intelligence Battalion at Fort Meade, Maryland.
