Fred Fielding


Mr. Fielding retired from Oshkosh Corporation [NYSE: OSK] in 2004 as Senior Vice President of Government Operations and Marketing. In this position, he was responsible for government marketing, business development and political relations. Mr. Fielding joined Oshkosh in 1989. He was promoted to Vice President Government Operations in 1991 and to Senior Vice President Government Operations in 2002.


Prior to joining Oshkosh, Mr. Fielding was Director of Washington Operations for LTV Corporation, AM General Division, from 1980 to 1989. There he had responsibility for liaison with the Department of Defense, the military services and Congress. He has over 45 years experience in the defense industry and was employed by such defense contractors as The Martin Co., Denver, and Boeing Vertol, Philadelphia.


Mr. Fielding is a native of Washington DC, a graduate of Villanova University and served in the U.S. Army in Korea. He was on the Board of Directors of the Washington Chapter NDIA, a member of the executive committee for the George Washington Chapter of AUSA, and past president and cofounder of TAC-WHEELS (an association of Washington representatives of U.S. companies that manufacture tactical wheeled vehicles and associated components).


Mr. Fielding currently serves on the Page County Department of Social Services Board of Directors and is the District One Chairman of the Page County Virginia Republican Party. He is a member of the Luray Rotarians, the Caverns Country Club and Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
